Terms and Conditions – Interior Design Pune

Documentation and Billing Details
Please ensure that the name used for documentation and reference (client name) is registered with the necessary documents (Aadhar/PAN) or GST number in case of B2B transactions. The billing details will remain the same as per the documents shared; no changes will be considered after this.

Minimum Order Value
To place an order with Interior Design Pune, the quotation value must meet or exceed a minimum threshold of INR 500,000. Orders with a value below this threshold will not be processed.

Final Quotation and Adjustments
The final value of the quotation will be subject to variation based on the actual site conditions, which will be determined during the design phase. The definitive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) value will be established only after final measurements from the site are obtained and verified.

Project Coordination
Interior Design Pune will assign a Project Manager/Site Engineer and a Designer to coordinate with you at the project site. Communication regarding the status of work-in-progress should be directed to the Project Manager/Site Engineer, while any design-related matters should be discussed with the Designer.

Labor and Safety Compliance
The Project Manager will ensure compliance with labor laws and will not engage any laborers or workers below the age of 18. The Project Manager will also ensure that workers are not under the influence of substances or involved in any inappropriate activities while performing their duties.

Scope of Work and Additional Charges
Interior Design Pune will perform designing and detailing strictly as outlined in the approved quotation. Any additional design work outside the scope of the quotation will be subject to additional charges. If any item is canceled after the design work has been completed, the design costs for that item will be charged to the client.

Quotation Variations
The final quotation amount will depend on actual measurements, scope of work, and any changes in design, materials, or finishes. As a result, the quotation may vary based on these revisions.

Additional Work and Product Selections
If additional products are selected or the scope of work is expanded beyond the original quotation, the costs may increase significantly and will be treated separately from the original quotation.

Additional Work Beyond BOQ
Any work beyond the first Bill of Quantities (BOQ) will be chargeable and must be approved by the client. Payment for any additional work must be made upon approval. If the final project value is lower than the initial BOQ, the balance will be adjusted in the final payment installment.

Quotation Validity
The quotation is valid for 3 months from the date of closing the deal. After this period, the quote value may change according to current rates.

Payment Schedule
The payment schedule is as follows:

  • First Installment – 10% of the quote value at the time of order booking.
  • Second Installment – 10% of the quote value at the time of the designer’s visit.
  • Third Installment – 40% of the quote value, payable before the start of site work (if civil work is involved), or before the start of factory work (if only modular/wooden work is involved).
  • Fourth/Final Installment – 40% of the quote value, payable before the dispatch of materials from the factory.

For projects involving civil work, the payment is split into two parts:

  • First Civil Installment – 20% before site validation/starting of factory work.
  • Second Civil Installment – 20% before the dispatch of modular from the factory.

Cash Payment Policy
Cash payments up to INR 199,999 are accepted, but only with the PAN card belonging to the customer whose name appears on the order. Orders cannot be split to accommodate additional cash payments from a customer.

Late Payment Penalties
If the final installment is not paid by the customer within the stipulated time for dispatch, a daily demurrage charge of INR 2,000 will be applied starting from the third day of overdue payment until full payment is made.

Quotation Errors
In case of any errors in the quotation, the company reserves the right to rectify them under the concept of “E. & O. E.” (Errors and Omissions Excepted).

Paint Work Recommendation
Interior Design Pune recommends customers to place a paint order with us. If paint work is not included in the scope of the project, civil works like false ceilings, electrical installations, and plumbing may cause hand marks and scratches. It is advised to apply a final coat of paint after all interior work is finished.

Handover Date Calculation
The handover date will be calculated and informed to the customer after the completion of the following requirements:

  • All designs and drawings are finalized and approved by the client, including the selection of materials, paint, wallpaper, etc.
  • Payment for factory work is cleared on time.
  • The site is in a condition that meets the requirements for validation/installation.

The handover process will be conducted before cleaning or deep cleaning (as mentioned in the quotation). Cleaning/deep cleaning will only be done after the project handover process is completed. Afterward, within 2-3 days, the customer, project manager, or designer will inspect the site and create a snag list for minor maintenance. Any minor maintenance work identified in the snag list will be completed within 12-15 days.

Renovation During Occupancy
Interior Design Pune does not allow or advise performing renovation or interior work while the customer or their family members are residing at the site. If a customer wishes to continue the work while residing at the site, the company will not be responsible for any damage to personal belongings or delays in execution. It is recommended that customers take care of their personal belongings and minimize interference with the ongoing work.

Delays and Compensation
If Interior Design Pune fails to complete the project within the designated delivery date, the company will provide compensation of INR 500 per day for each day of delay. This compensation is applicable only after all pre-conditions for handover are fulfilled.

Exceptions to Delivery Date
The delivery date may not be applicable under the following conditions:

  • Customer or builder scope of work (e.g., granite supply, tiles, CP fittings).
  • Work carried out by the customer/builder on their own.
  • Site restrictions (e.g., restricted work timings, incomplete possession of the site).
  • Design changes or additional work after validation.
  • Customer presence at the site during work.
  • Execution hindrances (e.g., power outages, water supply issues, lack of permissions).
  • Force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, environmental issues, pandemics).

Deep Scratches and Shade Variations
Deep scratches on shutters that appear after the protective liners are removed will be replaced if they cannot be polished out. However, this replacement is not covered under the delivery guarantee. Shade variations for the same color finish will be replaced free of charge, but these replacements are not covered under the delivery guarantee.

High-Value Woodwork
For woodwork components with a value of INR 15 lakhs or higher, the delivery guarantee will not apply due to the volume of work involved.

Access Availability
If the customer has full access to use items properly, then the remaining work will be considered as “snag work” once 95% of the project is completed.

Delay Penalty
Delay penalties will apply only after 100% payment has been received from the client.

Project Cancellation Policy (Terms & Conditions for Cancellation of Project/Site)

Interior Design Pune (referred to as IDP), engaged in the business of home renovation for residential projects, provides formal quotations to clients (Annexure – A) based on their requirements.

1. Full Refund for Cancellation within 48 Hours
If the customer cancels the project by providing written communication within 48 hours after making the payment for the booking amount to Interior Design Pune, they will be eligible to receive a full refund of the amount paid.

2. Cancellation After 48 Hours
In the event that the customer cancels the project after 48 hours from the date of order confirmation, Interior Design Pune shall be entitled to deduct consultancy charges at a rate of 5% of the open project/order value from the payment made by the customer. The remaining balance (after deducting 5% of the latest project value) will be refunded to the customer, subject to site measurement and designer allocation for the site.

3. No Refund After Designer Assignment or Site Measurement
If a designer has been assigned to the site or site measurement has already been conducted, the customer shall not be eligible for a refund of any amount from the booking amount or 10% of the project value, whichever is higher. In addition, any design consultancy charges, if applicable, will be claimed separately from the customer.

4. Partial Cancellation / Changes in Volume of Work

  • (i) If the project or designing process has already started and the customer wants to remove items from the finalized BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and the value of the removed items exceeds 15% of the total project value, Interior Design Pune reserves the right to revise the discount/rebate percentage initially allowed. The discount percentage will be recalculated on the balance amount, but in no case will the project value decrease below INR 5,00,000.

  • (ii) If the project or designing process has started, and the customer cancels the project after production or work on-site has begun, all work already started in production and on-site will be fully chargeable. This includes “Designing Consultancy Charges @ 20% of the line item or product value,” and no discount will be applicable, even if it was initially allowed in the quotation. The advance payment received at 10% will be considered separately in such cases.

  • (iii) If any measurement is required to be done, it will only be done before final billing. If the measurement is done after final billing, it will be based on the current/latest prices. If additional work or cost is incurred due to changes in 3D designs or other modifications, a new team will be assigned, re-measurement will be done, and the last BOQ will be canceled. In this case, “Designing Consultancy Charges @ 20% of the line item or product value” not considered earlier in the original quotation will now be charged separately and recovered from the payment made. If the charges exceed the amount paid, the customer will be liable to pay the difference.

Customer Conduct
Interior Design Pune is committed to providing a respectful and safe environment for its representatives. Discrimination based on sex, race, religion, caste, origin, disability, marital status, gender identity, age, or any other legally protected characteristic is strictly prohibited.

Customers must treat all representatives with respect and ensure a safe and compliant location for services at the project site. Interior Design Pune reserves the right to refuse services if the customer fails to comply with these standards, behaves in a discourteous or abusive manner, or does not provide a safe environment. Non-compliance may lead to delays, affecting the timeline of the Delivery Guarantee, which will not be considered a breach by Interior Design Pune. Any resulting delays or losses will be considered a breach by the customer under the Works Contract or Quotation.

If a representative behaves inappropriately or violates the law, the customer must report the incident with valid proof to info@gmail.com within 48 hours.

Customers are advised to maintain all communications with representatives in writing via official email and include the designated point of contact, if applicable.
